Community outreach is an important value at YDT. Dancers participate in a number of annual events that promote the arts to the general public and underserved populations.  The company offers mini-performances during the Chelsea Hometown Holidays Festival, The Gifts of the Arts hosted by the University of Michigan Hospitals, Michigan Youth Arts Festival, and Eastern Michigan University’s Community Dance Day.
